Adam Aspinall

Principal, Operations Manager

Adam is a Mechanical Engineer with over 25 years’ experience in the electricity and energy industries.  His expertise includes project development and feasibility analysis, strategic project planning and operation and maintenance.  Recent experience includes the development of major infrastructure projects incorporating feasibility analysis, negotiation of major procurement contracts (EPC, fuel supply, electricity sales, water sales etc), legislative approvals and arrangements for financial close.  Key projects include:

  • Procurement of Gas Turbines for Delta Electricity’s Colongra Power Station
  • Prefeasibility study for a Zinc Refinery at Gladstone
  • Assist in preparation of a submission to the Owen Enquiry by Delta Electricity
  • Advise on establishment of an Overhaul Strategy for Delta Electricity
  • Procurement of Gas Turbines for Stanwell Corporation

Peter Tolé

Principal

Peter Tolé joined Evans & Peck in 2003 after a thirty year career in engineering and construction. He is a Principal and Leader of the Mining & Resources Sector across Evans & Peck. Recent assignments have included providing strategic advice on delivery of major capital projects, risk management, independent estimating validations, expert witness reviews, contractual, alliance management, benchmarking, business case preparation and project management for a variety of clients in the water, mining, defence, transport infrastructure, oil and gas, and power sectors.

Peter previously filled senior executive roles at Clough Engineering Limited as General Manager and Director in charge of Eastern Australia & Pacific operations, with an annual turnover of up to A$200 million. The business units under his control spanned across underground mining and tunnelling, piling and foundations, general infrastructure projects in water and wastewater, defence electronic warfare & communications, operations and maintenance in the power industry and oil & gas EPC services provided by the group.

Michael Byrne

Principal & Melbourne Manager

Michael Byrne is a Principal and the Victorian Manager.  He has over 30 years diverse experience in civil engineering and project management in the public and private sectors in Australia and internationally.

Michael has extensive experience in development and delivery of complex infrastructure projects in a wide variety of industry sectors including transport, water, government, civic and commercial.  Recently specialising in the transport sector, Michael has provided high level strategic advice for freight and urban railway and road projects in Australia, China, Saudi Arabia, Cambodia and the Philippines. He also has significant experience in drafting and implementing policy and procedure together with extensive budget and financial management expertise.

Michael’s detailed understanding of construction, operation and maintenance of infrastructure systems enables him to be able to facilitate alternative project procurement methodologies, providing the best outcome to the client.

Prior to joining Evans & Peck, Michael held senior management positions at Hyder Consulting and Baulderstone Hornibrook. Michael holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and is a fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia.
