FACILITIES AND ASSET MANAGEMENT

Facilities and Asset Management Evans & Peck provide a range of independent advisory and management services to owners, users and creators of significant facilities and assets.  Our clients recognise our ability to understand the real cost and risk inherent in both the ownership and use of assets and related services.  We are recognised for our innovative yet pragmatic solutions and use of technology.

Owners are often faced with making trade-offs between minimising cost and risk while still appropriately supporting core business.  These complex decisions require a practical understanding of asset performance, use, life-cycles and costs, both operational & capital.  Additionally owners must protect their business from political, environmental, and industrial risk.

Users of facilities and assets demand uninterrupted operation, quick responses and lower supply & transaction costs while they focus on their core business.  The facilities and assets also play an important part in creating and sustaining an organisation’s culture.

Creators of facilities and assets must understand the operational needs of the owners and users. Communication of those needs and the alignment of objectives require contractual pragmatism and agility.

On average, 15% of an organisation's operating costs are expended on asset (hard) services. As such there is often relentless downward pressure on perceived 'compressible' expenditure. Such demands need to be evaluated against the risk of impact on core business and operations.

Strategically Evans & Peck assist clients Plan, Perform and Assure.

Plan –> Our advisors are experienced in facility master planning, strategic asset planning, life-cycle planning, risk planning and project financial planning;

Perform –> Evans & Peck are renowned for expertise in asset and support services procurement, service level & KPI development and risk management strategies.  We have developed an industry leading benchmarking service providing clients with insights to costs and process improvements; and

Assure –> With experience in project delivery, we are able to ensure ‘operational readiness’ for major new assets or refurbishments.  Facility and operational audits are critical activities we have undertaken in support of our client’s desire to protect themselves from legal, political, branding, environmental and financial risks.

Additionally, we are able to provide both operational and interim management teams dedicated to a customer’s operation.  These services are often in response to major change initiatives, a need to inject innovation or the desire to separate management from service.  Such business process outsourcing relationships include the provision of experienced procurement, facilities, property and project managers.

Evans & Peck’s advisors and managers have experience in a broad range of industry sectors.  We have also participated in ‘PPP’ consortia for transport, health and other social infrastructure solutions.  Examples of clients for whom we have provided facilities and asset management services include:
